Two-stage dental implantation is a classic restoration procedure.  It is used for any number of lost teeth and provides for a pause (from 3 to 6 months) between the introduction of an implant into the bone tissue and the installation of a permanent crown.

   Stages:

1. Preparatory stage with a general examination of the patient.  Computed tomography of the jaw is performed, analysis for allergens to anesthetics.  Collecting an anamnesis to identify concomitant diseases that may be a contraindication to surgical intervention.  Treatment of gums and caries, removal of tartar.
2. Based on the data obtained, a safe anesthetic is selected and an operation plan is drawn up.
3. The doctor performs high-quality anesthesia for a comfortable procedure.
4. Next, the artificial pin is directly installed into the bone tissue.
5. Monitor the healing of the implant by X-ray once every two months.
6. After the implant is fully healed (after 3-6 months), the gums are opened and the shaper is installed for 7-14 days, which will create the correct contour around the future crown.
7. The doctor takes casts and sends them to the laboratory for the manufacture of individual crowns.
8. The final stage of the installation of the dental crown.

Two-stage dental implantation: a detailed overview of the procedure

In modern dentistry, dental implantation is one of the most effective and painless procedures for replacing missing teeth. This procedure allows patients to regain their natural smile and regain the ability to eat and speak comfortably. Two-stage dental implantation is one of the most common implantation methods, which ensures the success of the operation and the durability of the result.

What is a two-stage dental implant?

Two-stage dental implantation is a procedure during which the implant is installed in the patient's jawbone in two stages. During the first stage, a surgical procedure is performed to install the implant in the jawbone. After that, the patient should allow time for the wound to heal and the implant to accept the bone. After the wound has healed and the implant has been accepted into the bone, the second stage is carried out - the installation of a crown on the implant.

   Advantages of two-stage dental implantation

After the implant is placed in the jawbone, the bone tissue grows around the metal pin, which ensures a strong fixation of the implant. Two-stage implantation of teeth allows to ensure the maximum area of contact with bone tissue, which ensures better healing and firm attachment of the implant. Thus, the implant becomes stable and strong, and the patient can feel comfortable and safe.
